There were storylines aplenty on Jan. 16 when the Vegas Golden Knights visited the Ottawa Senators.

Vegas forward Mark Stone made his first return to Ottawa where he played parts of seven seasons with the Senators. Pete DeBoer joined the Golden Knights the morning of the game after being hired by the team to take over as head coach on Jan. 15. The Golden Knights succeeded in focusing on the task at hand and picked up a 4-2 victory in Canada's capital.

Stastny's Quick Strike
Paul Stastny opened the scoring just 34 seconds into the contest as he fired a Stone pass through Craig Anderson to make it 1-0 Vegas.

Stick Taps for Karlsson
The game against the Senators was the first in Golden Knights history without center William Karlsson. From Oct. 6, 2017 to Jan. 16, 2020, Karlsson appeared in all 213 regular season games for Vegas before finally missing the game against Ottawa.

Fleury Gets Young Fan Out of Chores
All it took was a selfie with Marc-Andre Fleury to get this young Golden Knights fan out of chores for one month. Fleury delivered and someone's dad had some extra work to do for 30 days.
